The project is a two-story Hospital/Emergency Department in Doral, FL, one of the first of its kind to be built by Baptist in South Florida. The building is composed of CMU walls cladded in aluminum composite panels, architectural and structural precast, and glazed with Level E missile impact resistant curtain walls, rated to withstand high-velocity hurricane force wind loads. The main entrance lobby receives natural day lighting provided by a clerestory space, designed to benefit the patients and visitors. The building has a main entry covered drive on the north for walk-in patients and a covered ambulance drive for transfer patients on the South. The project also includes a 132-car surface parking lot, 40 of the spaces are covered parking, a separate exterior stair access for the mechanical penthouse located on the roof, an emergency power generator with associated enclosure walls, and 4 elevators (2 public, 1 patient, 1 service) to serve the Hospital. The first floor of the hospital contains both an Imaging Department and the Emergency Department. The Imaging Department consists of 1 MRI, 1 X-Ray Room, and a CT Scan Room. The Emergency Department accommodates: 1 bereavement/consultation room, 1 first-care/triage room, 9 treatment rooms (including isolation rooms), 2 resuscitation rooms (1 bariatric), results lounge area, 1 decontamination room, 1 medication room, 1 clean supply/equipment room, 1 receiving/bulk storage room, and ancillary support areas for patients and staff. The second floor is the Surgery Department which accommodates: 15 patient rooms, 2 Surgery Rooms, dedicated central sterile processing center,  2 Exam Rooms, 1 Treatment/Procedure Room, Prep/Post Surgery Area, Laboratory and Pharmacy, 2 family/visitation rooms, and ancillary support areas for patients and staff. This is an Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) reviewable project.
