NV2A delivered a comprehensive renovation and infrastructure upgrade to expand imaging capacity at Baptist Health with the addition of a fourth MRI unit. The scope included the construction of a new MRI suite, a complete replacement of the department’s HVAC air handling unit, and the installation of a new rooftop chiller to support the new equipment. An existing rooftop chiller serving another MRI unit was also replaced to improve overall system performance.

Interior renovations included upgrades to the medical gas systems, a fully refurbished patient holding area, and a renovated nurse station to enhance both functionality and patient experience. The project featured all new flooring, ceilings, and finishes throughout the department.

The complexity of this project was immense, given that all work was completed within a fully active MRI department, where patients continued to receive treatment throughout construction. NV2A’s meticulous planning and coordination ensured safety, minimal disruption, and strict adherence to healthcare standards.

This project achieved 100% compliance with AHCA inspections, with no comments or deficiencies noted.

Delivered with a Certificate of Occupancy in June 2025, the project reflects NV2A’s continued commitment to healthcare excellence and operational efficiency in complex medical settings.
