NEW CRUISE TERMINAL G COMPLEX

The project involves the demolition of the existing Terminal G and the construction of a new signature cruise terminal for Royal Caribbean Cruise Line at PortMiami. Delivered by NV2A, in joint venture with Lemartec, this world-class facility will feature dedicated systems while maintaining multi-vessel functionality. Designed as a single-berth terminal, it will accommodate up to 7,000 passengers, enabling efficient embarkation and disembarkation through the integration of the latest advancements in cruise terminal construction, energy efficiency, and seamless user experience.

The multi-level terminal design strategically separates passenger flow by floor, optimizing circulation and reducing congestion throughout embarkation and disembarkation. This approach minimizes wait times, eliminates bottlenecks, and ensures a streamlined process for cruise passengers, crew, and transportation services. The scope of work includes not only the new cruise terminal building but also a multi-story parking garage with ground-level bus parking and designated passenger drop-off areas—reflecting the joint venture’s expertise in large-scale transportation infrastructure projects.

Beyond enhancing Miami’s leadership in the global cruise industry, the new terminal’s iconic architecture will contribute to the evolving skyline of PortMiami and align with the growing trend of landmark waterfront structures that connect the city and the sea. The project adds significant value to the port’s existing terminal infrastructure and delivers a product that inspires civic pride and strengthens Miami’s position as a premier cruise capital.

The new cruise terminal is targeting LEED Silver certification, underscoring the joint venture’s commitment to building sustainable, high-performance infrastructure for the future.
